Gold Pillar Barberry | Berberis thunbergii 'Maria' USPP 18,082
Plant description:
Barberry shrubs are a great way to add colorful foliage to your garden for three seasons of the year. Gold Pillar Barberry provides an ever-changing palette of color. The new growth in spring emerges a soft orange that quickly matures to the bright golden shade of its name. The autumn brings another color change to a fiery reddish orange before the leaves drop for the winter. The compact columnar shape makes this shrub a gorgeous focal point in any foliage-forward planting scheme. The brilliant yellow color of the foliage is not prone to fading or scorching. Deciduous.
